The Information Resource Centre (IRC) is an important part of Uniglobe Secondary School. It is designed to support the academic and intellectual growth of students. The IRC functions as both an online and physical library, offering access to a wide range of resources.
The main goal of the IRC is to help students find answers, think critically, and solve problems. It encourages students to ask questions, explore new ideas, and express themselves with confidence. The centre is open to all +2 Science, Management and Law students, and also to all teachers and staff.
The IRC serves three main purposes:
- Resource Access: It offers a quiet and well-equipped space for both students and teachers, providing access to various learning materials in print and digital formats, including audio-visual content.
- Independent Learning: It promotes self-learning by allowing students to study independently or under guidance, helping them take control of their own learning process.
- Flexible Use: The centre is suitable for individuals, small groups, or large classes. It supports different types of learning activities, from one-on-one research to group discussions and class-based projects.
The IRC holds a rich collection of books, research papers, dissertations, reports, journals, magazines, reference materials, and multimedia resources. It also offers a space for both students and teachers to conduct research and study academic texts and references in a calm and focused environment.
