The Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a computer-based entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in India. It is a national-level test that helps business schools choose the right candidates for admission into management programs that are approved by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education).

When Did CMAT Start?

The CMAT was first introduced in 2012. A few years later, in February 2014, the exam was held over a span of several days—from 20th to 24th February. That year, about 1.2 lakh (120,000) students took the test, and the results were announced on 14th March 2014.
